The curriculum
Three years. Six semesters. Thirty courses — beginning with the Scriptures themselves and ending with supervised ministry in a local church. Taught in your own language.
The first year lays the groundwork: what Scripture is, what it says from beginning to end, and who God is. Nothing later in the program makes sense without it.
Five courses
The inspiration, authority and structure of Scripture — how the Bible came to us, and why it carries the weight it does.
2 Timothy 3:16–17A book-by-book journey from Genesis to Esther: the law, the history of Israel, and the covenants God made with His people.
The nature, attributes and works of God — the foundation on which every other doctrine rests.
Prayer, fasting, holiness and obedience, taught as daily practice rather than theory.
How to lead a soul to Christ: opening a conversation, presenting the Gospel clearly, and following up with care.
Five courses
The Gospels and the book of Acts — the life and ministry of Christ, and the birth of the church.
The person and work of Jesus Christ: His deity, His humanity, His atonement and His resurrection.
Principles for understanding Scripture rightly — context, genre, and the discipline of letting the text speak.
The roles of pastors, elders and deacons, and how a local church is meant to function.
The Great Commission and the responsibility it places on every believer and every congregation.
Matthew 28:19–20The second year moves from the text to its doctrine, and from doctrine to the pulpit — with the history of the church running alongside.
Five courses
From Job to Malachi: the wisdom literature and the prophets, and the hope of a coming Messiah.
The Epistles and Revelation — the doctrine and correction given to the early churches, and the close of the canon.
Sin, grace, faith and redemption: what salvation is, how it comes, and what it secures.
Preparing a biblical sermon — finding the message in the text and shaping it so a congregation can follow.
From the early church through the Reformation: persecution, councils, creeds and recovery.
Five courses
The person and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer and in the church.
The nature, mission and organisation of the church — what it is for, and how it is ordered.
Expository and topical preaching, with practice in delivery before fellow students.
Servant leadership in ministry: authority under Christ, character before position, and the cost of both.
From the Reformation to the modern missionary movement, and the spread of the Gospel to the nations.
The final year is the work of the pastor: the study, the counselling room, the graveside, and the planting of new churches. It ends in supervised practical ministry.
Five courses
The pastor’s daily work — counselling, visiting the sick, conducting funerals and weddings, and shepherding a congregation.
Christian morality and holy living, and how to bring Scripture to bear on difficult questions.
Defending the Christian faith with clarity and gentleness before those who question it.
Biblical principles of missionary work and the planting of new congregations.
Tools for studying Scripture independently — word studies, book studies, and preparing material to teach others.
Five courses, ending in supervised ministry
End-time events and the return of Christ, taught with care for what Scripture states and what it leaves unsaid.
Coming alongside people in grief, marriage difficulty, temptation and crisis — and knowing the limits of your own role.
The practical order of a church: finances, records, meetings, and the stewardship of what is given.
Building believers who continue growing after the decision — and who go on to disciple others.
Supervised ministry in a local church: preaching, evangelism and leadership, with feedback from the school.
How it works
Two semesters a year, six in total. Each year builds directly on the one before it.
Instruction is available in every language worldwide, so you study Scripture in the words you pray in.
Tuition is priced to be reachable in any economy, and discounts are available on request.
The final semester places you in a local church to preach, evangelise and lead under supervision.
The Bachelor of Theology is awarded by the International Holiness Bible School and Leadership on completion of all thirty courses and the practical ministry internship. The school is an independent ministry training institution. If you intend to use this study toward a state-recognised qualification or ordination in a particular denomination, speak with us and with your own church leadership before enrolling.
